Air suspension faults when cold out

Has anyone run into issues with air suspension faults when it's below freezing? I have now seen the issue a couple of times, first time it was a couple of weeks ago when it was 20 below, I didn't think much about it as the issue and codes cleared up once it warmed up outside. It happened again...

Is there anyway to see if crossover pipes have been done?

I would also air on the side of caution if you don't know whether or not these were replaced recently. Especially if you can do the work yourself, a few hundred bucks is well worth the piece of mind if you ask me.

Is there anyway to see if crossover pipes have been done?

I replaced both of mine with parts purchased from the dealer - the front was the two piece heat welded together, the rear one is one solid piece - I don't think these were redesigned

What symptoms were you guys seeing before your gearboxes failed? Curious to see what I should be looking out for.

    Landrovermerriamparts.com gone?

Hah I remember you mentioning that they wouldnt sell to you locally for some BS reason, would make sense that maybe they didn't want to be known locally for selling LR parts at a deep discount if they were getting them at cost (or whatever LR employees get them for) and re-selling them through...

    Landrovermerriamparts.com gone?

I've compared Paramus prices to Merriam a while back and they were a bit more expensive but still reasonable compared to the local stealership

Camshaft Profile Switching Solenoid 5.0L V8

In case anyone is looking for this part number, it's LR012112 - mine are working fine but are leaking oil according to the dealer, they suggested replacing both units, estimated at $1006 for parts and labor. Seems excessive when you can just replace the seals, anyone have a part number or a...

LR4 Transmission Fluid Change: Pan Swap Option

I went through the same process about 6 months ago on my 2010 - got the AB kit, used OEM ZF6 fluid and everything seemed to work great. Now on colder days I'm noticing that when I drive the car first thing, there's a bit of a chase and hard shift from 2 to 3, this only happens once and then...

    Aftermarket Valve Covers

I don't have any experience with the aftermarket valve covers but I personally haven't heard of OEM valve covers being the culprit in leaks but rather the valve cover gaskets that dry up, become hard and likely leak over time. I'd personally be hesitant on dropping almost $1k on a aftermarket...

North NJ Timing Chain Replacement Recommendation

That's quite a bit cheaper! Do you know if that also covered the lower timing chain/guide? That one is not replaceable with the engine in, maybe that's why those others places are charging that much - keeping in mind there are no documented issues with the bottom timing chain/guide, I think a...

    2015 Shop Manual

Anyone have a copy of the LR Shop manual for a 2015 LR4? I have the 2010-12 version, I was hoping it included info on the 3L V6 SC motor but no such luck.

North NJ Timing Chain Replacement Recommendation

Agree with ktm525 - It's crazy what some Indy shops are charging for timing chain services these days. I get it, it's a labor intensive job and the parts are expensive but I don't think these should cost anymore than 5k using the OEM LR updated components. Perhaps others can chime in with...

Steal of a Deal LR4 - Part Deux

Only issue so far is overheating...I'm repairing the motor if it's a blown head gasket, heck I'd even deal with another timing issue. I've gone through the process successfully of rebuilding my 2010 LR4 with both of those issues. If there are more serious engine issues, then I'll cross that...

Steal of a Deal LR4 - Part Deux

Oh bummer! I'm assuming collapsed filter caused blockage/starvation of oil and a seizure? No idea why anyone would cheap out on something as important as an oil filter just to save $5? I'll hit you up if I need a hand for sure! Thanks for the generous offer man

Steal of a Deal LR4 - Part Deux

Awesome info, thanks @Longtrail! I also noticed that the locking cylinder is stamped with a number. I wonder if I can get a key based off that? If not I'm doing exactly what you described.

Steal of a Deal LR4 - Part Deux

Oh sweet!! What issue made you do a full replacement? Also, where'd you source the engine from?

Steal of a Deal LR4 - Part Deux

Oh sweet! I didn't think about that. I guess there's no harm just leaving it there also, if I ever need to pull it off I can just do what you described at that time - there's also the outside chance that the keys from my other hitch work on this one

Steal of a Deal LR4 - Part Deux

As promised - making a new thread on a new to me LR4 I just picked up. She's a 2015 LR4, 3L V6 SC with 111k miles on the clock! Story here is after the factory warranty expired, this LR was serviced by the same shop just outside of Boulder, CO for the remaining service life. In addition to the...

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

Hey y'all - thought I'd give everyone an update on the steal of a deal LR4. Truck is now nearing 6k miles since rebuild and it feels rock solid! Honestly, this thing has been super fun. Couple of small issues to have to deal with such as a dead coil here and there, I keep spare ones on hand now...

    LR4 Head Gasket

That's a major bummer man - My rebuild is so far at 4300 miles and counting, a good portion of which was used to climb mountains but I did re-tap the headbolt holes on the block and also opted for the larger headbolts as they have a greater clamping force.

    LR4 Head Gasket

Unfortunately, these things aren't as simple as just replacing the head gaskets. A few of us have gone through rebuilding overheated engines and at minimum you'd need to get the heads re-surfaced. However, you most likely also have the headbolt threads re-tapped on the block as the threads tend...
