    Best windshield replacement option?

Pilkington is the OE supplier. I have had both Pilkington LR branded, and the non LR branded and the only difference is the Land Rover logo. Just make sure your glass shop buys new OEM A pillar clips. You absolutely cannot reuse the old ones. The glass is also set with a pretty thick bead of...

    LR4 Head Gasket

I would just use an OBD monitor, UltraGauge or ScanGauge. This is probably very complicated to do. The viscous fan is tied into the ECU, and they seem pretty reliable. I wouldn't mess with the radiator fan situation. Best bet on not having problems is replacing the crossover pipes.

    Chasing Restricted Performance Issue

How old is the fuel in the tank? Could it be something simple like that? Ethanol starts to break down pretty quickly.

P0430 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2) - My car is running great

Land Rover isn't the only ones... My Rivian service center is 2 months out. Has been that way since April when I got my R1T. Seems the unpopulated areas have no waits though.

lowering suspension when not in use for weeks on end

Mine doesn't lower either, and I'm not daily driving my LR4 anymore. Just a garage queen now.

    Rear Brake Questions

I would still clean the caliper pins every time you do brakes. Not sure what the dealerships do, but I’ve been doing that and have had no issues over 90k miles (130k on the truck) and a few sets of brake pads.

    Rear Brake Questions

You need a new brake pad sensor. I've bought cheap ones ($15) from Amazon and had no issues. If you want to reuse them, you need to replace the brake pads before they trigger the sensor. Also make sure your caliper pins are clean and lubed. Do this everytime you do brake pads. The calipers seem...

    Project Dark Knight Rising

Awesome dude! … hope I don’t have to eat my own words here but if my V8 ever craps out, I’d love to throw a supercharger on it after a rebuild since it’s not my daily anymore.

    Keen location for FOB

It fits decently in the little hole next to the shifter, the one opposite of the parking brake handle.

    cross over pipe questions

There aren't many symptoms. They catastrophically fail on these vehicles and usually take the engine with them when they go... I would recommend having it replaced. There is an updated part. As for how much it costs, mine was done under warranty so I'm not 100% sure but I believe it should run...

Can't seem to be able to program homelink

Any idea on what kind of garage door opener you have? If it is a Chamberlin brand what color is the learn button? Like someone else said, you probably want to unpair/reset the garage door opener and re pair all of the remotes. If you're into any smart home stuff and have a compatible opener...

Dash lit up like a Christmas tree out in BFE

The OEM continentals are absolutely awful though. They wear out absurdly fast, and are not great off road.

Do durable side wall tires exist for the LR4?

No. I actually blew out my front driver side air strut in the middle of Moab and was able to drive it out of the trail. The air suspension didn’t completely collapse though. 255/60R19 is basically the maximum sized tire without any mods and no worries. I believe it’s roughly a 31” diameter.

Dash lit up like a Christmas tree out in BFE

If you’re suspicious of rodents being around your vehicle, and saw paw prints in the engine compartment, I’d wager you have a shorted wire somewhere. Honestly sounds like an absolute cluster to fix. Usually when a group of unrelated systems all throw error messages it’s the battery… however...

Do durable side wall tires exist for the LR4?

Open Country AT3 at 255/60R19 and I air down to 20 PSI. Has been great.

    Surprising oil usage

Make sure you’re on completely level ground when you’re checking oil, and do it the same way every time if you can. I only check when the oil is cold, and in my garage or another flat surface like a gas station.

My LR4 experiences in terms of mechanical issues that keep piling up

Yeah all of your issues with the exception of the oil cooler are normal for these vehicles. My 2013 has had the water cooler, coolant crossover pipes, control arms, two air struts, and a lot more parts replaced. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Get your crossover pipes replaced if you...

    Radiator replacement

I have a thread on the radiator replacement. Used a Nissens. Installed 2 years ago and 25,000 miles ago and it’s been great. No issues. But it is a huge pain to get the old one out without disconnecting the condenser.

Fixing wind noise from pillar covers?

If it's missing the Land Rover logo it has probably been replaced. The window with the vin in it doesn't exactly look perfectly lined up either.

Fixing wind noise from pillar covers?

Has your windshield ever been replaced? I got my windshield replaced semi recently and the guy told me you need to lay a thick/tall bead of the urethane sealant so the glass sits nice and tall, to push against the a pillar trim. They also swear by using only OEM windshield clips.

Changing from Low to high and vise-versa while moving?

I’ve found it helpful in some off road situations, especially if I’m alone and I’m getting in and out of the car to spot myself. Definitely not necessary though.

Changing from Low to high and vise-versa while moving?

I stop fully to go into the low range box, and if I can I stop to go back into high. Never had any issues going from low to high around 15 mph though.

Noise coming from left rear area

I've had small rocks wedge themselves between the rotor and the rotor shield and make awful noises. Usually self correcting.
