I agree that it's a good idea to replace in pairs. I said as much. I'm just saying it isn't a requirement. I also would bet a beer that the EAS doesn't need a calibration after a shock R&R (only). I'm not 100 on that, but I'm pretty sure. I'm not asserting that you are misleading anyone. -

Did you recalibrate after adding the rods? If not, then the EAS is probably self-leveling iteratively until it drops. The only way to tell if the EAS is leaking air, is to pull the proper fuses (or batt power) and measure the distances from each hub to wheel arch, and then leave it overnight... -

I'm confused...did you already put in a new strut? Also, if a GAP tool is too much money this may not be the right vehicle for you. The GAP tool saves you money in the long run. But all that aside, you need to pull fuses/batt and measure, them measure again in the morning. Otherwise you... -

If it doesn't drop down overnight with the battery or fuse pulled them it sounds like a calibration problem and not a leak. -

Yeah that would suck. I'm glad that up here in Western WA, it takes a dang blizzard before they treat the roads and when they do, they mostly use sand and then some de-icer on the hills. I can plan around that, and it's only for a few days. After that I can power-wash it. -

Cool...my only point was that LEDs won't really work as well for fog due to the limited wavelengths emitted and mie scattering of fog. The data isn't really concrete, but anecdotal data supports test data in this case. -

I'd say yellow bulbs could produce better performance in fog, but LEDs generally will not. Do you have the Halogen headlamps? If so, you may get better results in swapping those out for LEDs. A buddy of mine just did that and they look pretty good and really bright. -

Yeah man, I don't know. I'm just going off your symptoms. I just know that one time I had an issue where the vehicle wouldn't raise, and it was because the EAS was so far out of range that the settings just didn't register with the ECU; that's the reasoning behind jacking it up manually, then... -

Interesting....even with the wire bundle ripped down off the frame, my EAS was functioning. It could be that you were are too far out of range. You may want to jack up the truck manually to the extent possible and then try firing up the compressor. THEN pull the dang fuses. You'll want to then... -
