Disabling Trans Fault locked the bugger in Park

WTF? Did you just reply to your own post as if you were having a conversation with someone?

    Suspension Diagnosis

The "same exact issue along with" a suspension fault? You sure about that, @jlach993? The "same exact" issue already includes a suspension fault. I know I have an LR3 not an LR4, but this really doesn't sound like a battery issue. Are you sure your issue also presented itself in the 4x4 display...

    DRL's Blackout Headlight Mod

There are some build threads about this....possibly on this site or on landroverforums. Some people have had great success and in other cases messing with the lights/electrical has led to problems. I'd tread carefully, but it sounds like you know what you're doing. I love the Xenons on the LR3....

    DRL's Blackout Headlight Mod

    1. What do you mean by "cornering lights?" 2. What stock lights are you starting with, the Halis or the Xenons?

    Suspension Diagnosis

I'm gonna diverge a bit. I've seen the display like that once, after the wiring loom in the front driver's side wheel well got ruptured. However, I was able to continue wheelin' on that trip. No issues just an Amber fault. So I think it's a calibration issue. Could be related to the...

No sound from radio or sound system after sunroof leak into passenger footwell

Sunroof drains, windshield cowling, A-pillar. Those are the water ingress culprits.

    2008 LR3 HSE

I like the LR rubber mats better than Weathertech. Weathertech is a great company and I like their product but those LR mats are great. I just power wash the underside. I sand and primer any surface rust, then I spray on the BOESHIELD. It's an aerosol delivery and it doesn't work very well if...

    2008 LR3 HSE

The Jeeps sound fun! I say keep it at Martha's Vineyard. Get rubber floor mats, and get a bunch of T-9 BOESHIELD. spray the underside every 4 months or as needed...

    2008 LR3 HSE

Okay ok...that explains it. I didn't mean to come off "judgy." Find it a good home...$8500 sounds reasonable. I didn't sell one...I bought another one!! :) I've had my '05 since new. I bought an '06 last year and it's been great. Shored up a few things (bleeder valve, fluids, front shocks and...

    2008 LR3 HSE

Why on Earth would you get rid of it? It's one of the best 4x4s ever made and if truly well cared for, can go on for another 15 years. You want to part with it for $8000??? I don't understand people. Edit: oh I see now....you don't off-road it. That may explain it. You don't know what it is...

    Engine will not turn over

What was the voltage shown on your slow-charger?

    Reliability

Totally agree on that assessment. I have an '05 and an '06. They are both well sorted, but yes, I experienced the diff issue on the 2005. I expect to get 300k miles on each.

    Reliability

That's fair. I mostly meant in terms of the 4.4L being mostly bulletproof whereas the 5.0 has timing chain guides issues and crossover pipe issues; both of which can kill the engine.

    Reliability

Ummm....LR3 is > LR4 from what I can tell, if nothing else just based on the engine having fewer Achilles heels. @[email protected] sure Toyotas and Hondas are reliable but they are nowhere near as capable as Rovers off-road or on-road. They are appliances....

    Reliability

It absolutely matters. The mass of fuel around the pump lowers the equilibrium temperature of the contents of the tank, including the pump. That's just Thermodynamics.

    LR3 Small Mystery Coolant Leak

My opinion is that the safest bet is factory parts. In some cases, like the air springs, you can save a bundle with the right aftermarket parts (like Arnott) but usually you try to save $100 and end up spending $500 doing the job again. I didn't think water pumps or hoses were all that...

    LR3 Small Mystery Coolant Leak

I'm not sure what you expected using an Autozone part on a Land Rover, and then a used part....time to nut-up and buy a new factory part and live happily ever after.

Permanently remove the factory installed A-Bar protection frame

That version in the pdf must be newer. I like it. I have the older one and had to re-engineer the fasteners to get better conformity to my bumper. They are not well designed, imo. Also the upper brackets broke.

Leaving the hood / bonnet open overnight for rats.

Good suggestion, Tibs! That should be a well coordinated defense around the Rover.
