    2010 LR4 Off-road wheel and tire options

Not true... I've "upgraded" to the Lucky8 hd lower control arms with poly bushings not too long ago. While out on an easy trail the RH LCA broke at the front bushing, the axle popped out of the cv joint on the engine side, and bent the airbag/strut deeming it completely useless. Luckily, I ran...

    2012 US Spec 5.0 Won’t Start

I seriously dealt with this and I know how to fix it. The hard way is to press down on the brake pedal as hard as you can, and hit the Start/Stop button. The easy way to start it when the brakes are stiff and it only clicks once; Without pressing on the brakes, press the Start/Stop button to...

I did this about 7 years ago, door sill plates. It held up.

Replaced crossover pipes and water pump

Typically when you have to do cooling work, especially the first time, I highly recommend doing ALL of it. This is a list for the V8s, not sure if there's any difference for the scv6. Water Pump LR097165 - $289 Water Pump gasket LR049370 (2x) - $32ea ($64) Oil cooler pipe LR028136 - $32 Oil...

Coolant leak from small hose on Waterpump

You'll need to remove the fan shroud and fan clutch to get access.

Oil in Intake Manifold - Smoke on Startup

Get a baffled closed system oil catch can with only 2 ports, in and out. Otherwise, your system will detect a leak. It's very sensitive to vacuum pressure readings.

Oil in Intake Manifold - Smoke on Startup

I made my own oil catch can on both banks, but you really only need it on bank 1. Here's some pics of it. https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/diy-timing-chain.31050/post-216075 I don't really think the oil in the intake manifold would be enough to smoke up. Maybe it's just condensation built...

Heavier wheel/LT tire combo "skipping" across pavement?

Like everyone said, try running it close to oem tire pressures. I run mine at F40:R45, which is slightly over oem (F36:R42).

5.0 LR4 oil catch can non turbo

It works, but kept finding leaks. Tempted to just weld those extra holes on the catch can shut. I temporarily swapped back to the oem hose, but now I have to walnut blast the intake valves again.

Timing Chain Seal replacement? Or something else?

Yeah, I second that. Looks more like a vacuum pump oil leak, but it doesn't really show conclusive evidence on the video. Just tell the tech that you're going to get a second opinion from an indy shop, they might change their mind about the diagnosis.

You can still drive over 65 mph when it shows the 30 mph warning. Technically not advisable, but doable it it doesn't limit you.

    Throttle body coolant line mystery

    LR4 "Smart" Charging Charging Strategy

Haha! I did the same thing with a folding 100W solar panel with an extra long 25ft (idk) cable to hook into the solar controller too. I also have 2 portable jumper packs just in case too. I guess once we've been burned with electrical power issues, we over prepare.

    LR4 "Smart" Charging Charging Strategy

@avslash I have a very similar setup. I went with the Lensun hood solar panel, GoPower dual bank controller (Aux 1st, Starting 2nd), Redarc dc-dc charger (with solar, just in case, but not used), and a Power Bastards ** alternator (based on your other thread). I'm also pretty happy with the...

    Coolant system part help!

    Long crank, no faults

Here's a thought, what if you reset the engine values with the gap iid tool? This will force the ecu to relearn new values.

Preventative maintenance recommendation for a 9 year old LR4 w/52k miles

Yeah, don't ignore coolant or oil leaks like @D_Walt said. Most oil leaks are from hard brittle valve cover gaskets and at that point, you're halfway through getting to the timing chain guides. Just food for thought.

    2011 LR4 screens black but runs....Any help?

I wonder if your MOST system is damaged from the water. It sits under (I think) LH seat. You can probably pull it out and see if there's any corrosion or damage.

    Long crank, no faults

Sorry to hear that @Jimmy Brooks. How the heck did they figure the HPFP skipped timing without pulling off the front timing cover? I agree with @16FujiDisco that you should at least try to diy it. Opening it up is probably the only way to really see if the lower timing chain skipped timing, ...

    LR4 "Smart" Charging Charging Strategy

I kept the oem bms in place. I never really got it working the way I wanted. I gave up after a 3 days of messing with it. I may need to pick this back up and try again. You'll need to reach out to Patrick (email) at Gap Diagnostics to allow your device to load the "Untested" CCF view.

    Weboost setup

I ran it through the upper tailgate through the top left grommet and down the LH D pillar to the rear AC area. If you look closely in the picture, there's a wire that routes between the upper tailgate gap.

    Weboost setup

I have one mounted to the LH rear on a Frontrunner antenna plate mounted on my Frontrunner roof rack. The antenna plate folds down along the rack when not in use. I mounted my weboost next to the rear AC panel and utilizes the factory rear cigarette outlet. The interior antenna mounted...

    Windshield wind noise.

I'd suggest using something less sticky like masking tape. You might accidentally rip off a weather strip or panel with duct tape, especially gorilla tape. :listen:

    Rough Wipers

Typically it's the blades, but you've already replaced the blades with new ones. The next thing would be taking off the windshield cowl to inspect the wiper system. You might need to lube the pivot joints with something. I typically like a heavy duty silicone spray (leaves a clear film...
