2013 LR4 - Weird Humming Noise

Thanks, dj, much appreciated. I was looking for specifically the design/sytle I had posted the pic of and found a set locally recently, so I am all set at the moment. The set I have found has a curb rash or two on a couple of rims, so if you happen to have that style rim(s) come by I wouldnt...- manoftaste

Also, didn't occur to me that I'd need an extra set of sensors :) And, I mean, damn! $170 and change for each sensor!!!! Is LRNA really outta there f*ing mind!? These jokers seriously really need to revisit the idea of "prestige brand". Prestige brand does not mean only expensive, or 22...- manoftaste

I am not quite sure, but I am guessing they should as they are OEM take offs (19 inch) from a 2013 according to the owner. And I know for fact that the same design rim was also offered in 2016 models. So in theory it should all be good, right?- manoftaste

Another Defender hint?
We maybe, maybe back in business. I personally am still very much interested in that dual personality that allows us that smooth and well planted highway ride quality. I want the journey to be as much fun as the destination itself. And the only thing that currently fits the bill is either 3 or 4.- manoftaste

I have seen that video of him driving thru a suburban neighbourhood streets. But keep in mind that the snow in the video looks pretty fresh and powdery, and not really any icy conditions. To me at least, getting up and running in snow is certainly important but not nearly as important as...- manoftaste

Great, but please be careful as well, one of the owners here living in that area hasn't had many good things to say about TerrainContacts in snow and icy conditions. Things seem ok but sometimes it maybe hard to tell if you are really riding near the upper limit or threshold point of a tire...- manoftaste

Haha. Had done exactly that when I had gotten my LR3 back in 06. I know the feeling :) NY was kinda relatively dry at the time while the surrounding areas were all fluffy and slushy with both some fresh powder as well some old stuff. Took my brand new love with maybe only hundred miles or so...- manoftaste

I've put only about 2k miles on those as I had purchased those pretty late winter last year and had to switch to non-winter shoes (TerrainContacts) much...- manoftaste

Thanks. They are 19s from a '13 LR4. Mine is '16 with the same design rims. Metal missing aspect, interesting. Ideal world, perfect set would be great but if you guys thought they were a steal at that price I'd pick em up. Could that curb rash affect or harm the tire in any way in terms of...- manoftaste
