5 year "Free Replacement" and not prorated at around 59 months?
Had a 84 month battery from a friend's car he traded in, I gave him an old El Cheapo battery. By the 49th month the prorated amount I would of paid for replacement like 75% of a new battery cost.
Maintenance free like Delco's Freedom 60 batteries will die by 4-5 years due to the water levels below the cells due to evaporation over time. drilled out tops of cells a 3/16" bit, added distilled water then silicon sealant closed the holes. Still holding charge and cranking a 11 year old Delco Freedom 60 battery. Adding water once a year......~~=o&o>.....

I've gone through three Interstate Megatron H8 batteries in the four years I've owned my LR3 and they've all failed when it gets cold, which in San Diego isn't really saying much.

I also have a Traxide dual battery setup with an Optima yellowtop and a National Luna battery monitor. The voltages were always lower than 'normal' and never seemed to equalize properly.

Long story short, I bought an Odyssey 49-950 AGM battery a couple of months ago and so far it's been excellent. A much snappier engine start and it plays much better with my Traxide setup.

That sounds like something wasn't quite right. Stand alone my interstates have been good (4-5 years anyway lol) before they die and I subject them to -30 starts regularly.

Yeah, I had an interstate go dead about a year and a half ago, but my replacement Interstate has been fine, and this winter was pretty brutal as far as midwest winters go.

Rather than starting a new post, I'll resurrect this one.

Purchased a new battery January 2, 2025 and it was installed into my (engine failing) LR4. Purchased an AC Delco 94R/PG - 800CCA. It then basically sat around until March 15 when our engine replacement was completed. Charged up the battery and all was well... for two weeks. Now I'm getting the "Low Battery" warning almost every time I get in the vehicle.

Back it up... full history.
We've had this issue for almost the entire time we've owned the vehicle. Purchased used 5 years ago and it was good for about the first 6 months. Then it started. Replaced the battery, 4 weeks later it warned of low battery. Charged battery, it would be good for a few days, then "low battery". I then suspected that maybe the auxiliary ECO battery was the culprit, going bad and "draining" my main battery. Did my reasearch at that point and learned that the only purpose of the auxiliary battery is for the ECO stop/restart (let's not go down that rabbit trail of if that is bad or not for the environment or starter/engine wear and tear). So I removed the auxiliary battery entirely. Wasn't a member of this forum at that time and didn't know the LR4s were sensitive about their batteries so we just lived with it. Always told us the battery was low, always started no problem even when -20 F outside.
Now that I have a new battery (again) and know that the LR4 doesn't like a "low battery" it is frustrating and I'm wondering if I can get to the bottom of it.

Any advice?

Actually, the auxillary battery is strictly for monitoring during the eco process.
The main battery is used for the restarting. The "PG" implies standard flooded. The vehicle calls for AGM. The generator on the vehicle and the battery monitoring system are tuned for an AGM.

Moreover, be sure the battery is fully charged prior to installation. 12.6+ v, after resting from any charging event for 6 hours.
And think of the generator as a "maintainer" not a "charger".

Isn't there some function in the GAP tool for when you put in a new battery too?
