    4.4 V8 Rear Coolant Leak

Update, leak was in fact a minor water pump weep but got worse. I spent 6 hours trying to get the stupid fan clutch assembly off and finally gave up. Took it to a local shop and they replaced the pump with the Genuine I had bought earlier. Tested the system and everything is now tight and solid.

It may be old but we're still alive and kicking. I still haven't pulled the trigger on a D5 but my LR3 is getting ready to roll over 260k miles. :)

Buying a press to do my own wheel bearings....need advice on what else I need

That set has a decent assortment of plates, but I can't find a size for the bearing either. Hopefully you saw this vid he does a pretty good job explaining the process, that threaded rod method is what we used in the old days. And sometimes a mallet...

    4.4 V8 Rear Coolant Leak

OMG. My entire life I've preached Keep It Simple Stupid. Ordered the water pump and hose assembly and was looking at the engine thinking about the process to disassemble to get to the water pump and there was the bleed valve T completely corroded into pieces. $7.95 plus shipping and I'm back...

    4.4 V8 Rear Coolant Leak

That makes sense, when I first started after removing the skid plates there were about 8 quick drops from the front like where the water pump is and then it started dripping back by the bell housing. Guess it's time for another water pump. It's probably got 70k on it. Thank you for the diagram.

    4.4 V8 Rear Coolant Leak

2006 LR3 4.4 I'm getting a leak that drips around the bell housing/engine connection and wondering if anyone knows if the 4.4 has a crossover pipe or manifold in the back. Looking at the cooling diagram I don't see one and using my phone camera to look where I can't stick my head between the...

    software update

I vaguely remember "resetting adaptive values" with the Nanocom years ago and if I remember every light on the dash started flashing and I almost had a heart attack. Then they stopped or I turned the key on and off, not sure, but it was definately a heart attack moment.

    Road and Track article

Thanks for posting that link, I saw it on the FB LR3 page and it made me proud. People don't understand what it's like to have blood that runs green.

E on dash and LR3 wont start all Errors flash up

We have all learned that this forum is helpful but also google your problems like HDC/DSC fault and you'll find many postings. It's honestly like finding a needle in a haystack sometimes trying to diagnose, but there are common failures that at some point will affect most if not all LR3's. Non...

    2005 LR3 oddities

Attached is the instrument cluster section of the manual. Your brake indicator can be telling you a number of things, pad wear, low fluid, etc. Also attaching the section for the sunroof that may help diagnose in the future. Also the section on the Anti Theft system which can keep the doors...

New guy, new LR3 owner with a question, please help!!!!!

Discouraging that the connector wasn't the issue, I assume you checked for any corrosion when it was unplugged. As Houm said you evidently have to have GAP or some kind of tool to program a new cluster. Attached are the relevant sections of the manual if you don't have them. Having said that...

New guy, new LR3 owner with a question, please help!!!!!

So do you have the orange or red suspension light on and the gauges aren't working? If not or when you turn the key on do the lights light up and then go off when it starts? Or is the cluster completely not working.
