I believe they just used Sinosmart CarPlay from Aliexpress for $250. It's almost same as Naviplus (but better). I have one – and yes, it work via AUX or Bluetooth. If you press Exit you should see this menu. -

As I know, all ECU have ACC control and main problem – it's radar firmware because this thing doesn't know "what is LR4/Discovery 4". If your LR4 will be RRS – it should work ;) -

Well yeah, but it's possible :) And about price – I bought buttons (with steering wheel ) and radar only for 300€ ($330) but as proof of concept I used not cheap CAN device developed for specific task – not for ACC -

ACC working with 2015MY and this MY should have ware loom under front bumper. Also you need Radar for 15MY FH22-9G768-AE should work, for 14MY I believe need BH32-9G768-AD like in RRS and Bracket for radar LR062475 but you can use LR060076 with some modifications. For the High Beam Assistant you need new interior mirror with sensor (ah42-17e678-ad for LR4 but I used mirror from RRS 09-13MY) + new plastic cover and of course change ccf, after that you get new lamp (AUTO) and menu in instrument cluster ;) For ACC, absolutely impossible for 09-13my without... -

Alternatives to GAP tool?
GAP not only one. You can use JLR Mongoose Pro cable with SDD software (it's official dealer software) or if you need only read some error codes or check values like coolant temp or oil you can use ELM372 and (for example, CarScanner app for your phone). I have both and for me it's works fine.
