ZF6 to ZF8 upgrade!
You brought back memories of driving my C5 half way across the country at 90mph in uniform so when the cops stopped me they would let me go(happened once) and calculating that I got 30mpg when I would stop for gas.- Al Pizzica

IMHO the ZF8 is a much better all around transmission. I've had the 6 in two land rovers and the 8 in two BMWs. Hands down the 8 is the better shifter. Anyone swapped out for newer seats?
I can get a fairly immaculate cream colored interior out of a '16 LR4 Lux for $500. Our cream colored seats in our '13 are kind of dingy. Seems like a fun spring project. Anyone done this?- Al Pizzica

This is really stupid but my front seat heat died and I think it's in the seat. These are the kind of little things that have me thinking about something new but I don't want to do it. Oil change interval discrepancy of reality vs the manual should be class action suit, for sure.- Al Pizzica

Cold weather transmission failure
These things are so damn battery sensitive! I have a new AGM battery for this winter and in the same conditions skiiing overnight at 0 deg it now fires right up compared to last year she was a little hesitant.- Al Pizzica

2013 V8 116k miles. Last two oil changes P0016 comes in within 0- 300 miles of an oil change, then goes away after a few drive cycles. Each time I think, well, it's toast, then it goes away. Chains seem to have very small amount of slack through the oil fill but zero noise or anything, it runs...- Al Pizzica

There are definitely timing chain issues with any of them , 6 or 8, that follow the ridiculous 12k factory oil change guidelines. There are just less with the post update ones, it wasn't a complete solution. Biggest thing I've learned in the many years here is that chain getting loose gives you...- Al Pizzica

No fluid coming out when bleeding rear brakes
I have a concern that when you dropped out the piston you put it back in somehow differently, like without some part or with some valve hole being covered or something. Can you bleed the other side? Is the problem only on the side where the piston fell out? Might try looking up piston reassembly...- Al Pizzica
