If you have a portable Navi, such as Garmin or TomTom, there are lots of options available: http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/hughes/32634 The technology has been around for a while.

I like umbertob's idea, but you really benefit more from this capability when driving or travelling in an area that you are not familiar with, rather than one where you already know a speed trap/camera exists.

But I have never tried one of these products, don't usually drive in such a way to be too concerned about it, so not an authority on this subject...

I have the speed cameras for US and UK loaded into my NUVI, so I get a visual and audio warning when approaching any speed or red light camera location.

Was easy to do - just downloaded some custom POI files from the InterWeb and loaded into the NUVI with a free loader that Garmin provide.

Saved me some $$$ already driving around Phoenix AZ!

They are driving slowly because of the *@*#! mobile speed camera units, which pop up randomly on any road, and send you a warning if your 7 mph over the limit, and a ticket if you're 12 mph over....

It's big brother gone mad!
