Leather Cleaner ?

Hey everybody... what leather cleaners do you use. The stuff I got leaves it feeling "oily "

Lexol all the way. It absorbs into the leather after 10 mins. Clean with the orange bottle first and then condition with the brown bottle. It’s “leather food”, not that oily crap like armor all.

I absolutely love this stuff from Finish First. I got it on a lark one time because I use their polish. It really leaves the LR seats nice and soft. No oil.

With regards to cleaning, I would say it is more of a light cleaner. With some rubbing I am able to get most things off that would get on the seats. It won't remove stains from other dyes though.

It also smells nice. Kind of a faint new car type of scent. Try it.

What scares me is the multi purpose nature. If it is good for rubber & vinyl as well? This scares me off right there.

Consider looking into Leatherique Prestine Clean. I can’t remember all the research I did back in the day on it about it being PH balanced and very highly regarded for it being very naturally beneficial for the leather but I can say I’ve been using it since 2014 with great results. First on my LR2 with the HSE Lux Windsor Leather and now on my new LR4. It cleans well and seems to leave a very natural sheen, no greasy residue left behind. It’s also part of an two step process you can do with their Leather Rejuvenator that is again a fantastic product for once or twice a year deep conditioning. My LR2’s leather has held up very well because of it I think. It’s also available on Amazon now.

Last but not least, the Prestine Clean is also safe to use on all your vinyl/plastics so I use it almost exclusively in the whole interior!

I too use Leatherique, but only once or twice a year when it gets nice and warm out. I've also only been using it for about two years. When I do use it, I do both parts, the rejuvinator and cleaner. The rejuvinator is kind of a hassle and takes a while (I try to let it sit for at least 24 hours in warm weather) but it really does pull out all of the dirt and grime in the grain of the leather and does leave a nice natural finish.

Between leatheriques, I've been using Lexol for my touch up cleanings. Vacuum. Semi stiff brush with the cleaner. Wipe off. Wipe on conditioner. Buff off.

You're getting too scientific for me. I just read that as "hey, it's designed for leather, but if you overspray it won't harm anything." And they probably realize that once someone has a rag and a spray bottle, they'll wipe whatever they can. Use more product. Buy more product.

I've bought it and recommended it for others who have been happy. I've used it for a long time and see no adverse affects, on the contrary, it seems to be preventing my leather from cracking on the sides where it did on prior vehicles. (driver seat, in particular)

But, there are no shortage of leather options to use. I'm sure you'll be happy with any of the products suggested. I just found this one to be very easy to use and works well. I used to use some of the pastes but found I was never motivated because they take longer, so my seats would go untreated.
