Also my 2016 SCV6 has low range, a full size spare but no rear diff lock...

No. Prior to '13, the HD package only meant it had a locker in the rear axle. Everything else was the same, including all the traction modes.
In '14 and after, the low range transfer case became part of the HD package. That's the switch in the right side of that switch cluster in the photos you posted, where there is a switch on one and a blank on the other.
Other than looking for a full-size spare (which can be added to a non-HD model) or wires leading to the rear axle, the only other way to tell is to pull up the 4x4 screen on the dash while the vehicle is running and look for the lock icon in the rear axle.
You could also, presumably, figure out a way to tell by VIN. That may take some work and a friend at a Land Rover dealer.
If it's anything like my LR3, you actually have to be in an off road mode, while on the 4x4 screen, in order to see whether there is a rear locker.

LOLAnd yours is a NAS / US model? That seems quite odd - although if it was a late, end-of-production 2016 model I guess it's possible you got an odd build, perhaps they ran out of rear lockers.![]()
Took me months to find a clean, low mileage CPO LR4 with LUX or landmark and the HD package with blackpack.
Ended up finding one on a work trip, canceling my flight home and driving 1600 miles back home.

That's really odd. I assumed for the 14-16's, a vehicle to be designated to have the HD Package had to contain low range, rear locker and full size spare. Otherwise how could it be the HD Package? Do you still have the window sticker? How much did you pay for the package alone? I'd be interested in finding out too what umbertob turns up in the VIN search.
Mine was sold as a 2016.5. One of the few left at the time I purchased in June 2016 - build date March 2016. It definitely has a center and rear locker as they get exercised from time to time. And I enjoy watching the 4x4 screen lockers change colors as the vehicle figures out what to do when facing various obstacles/terrain.
So that's automatic right, the locker changing?
