hello another misfire question?

2004 Freelander LSE Misfire on KV6 2.5
My Freelander made it to about 110,000 miles (not Kilometers) Before it started to misfire (My kids were also driving this...) back in 2014.
Soon an intake valve failed on cylinder 4 (low cylinder compression). I pulled my head(s) ordered a rebuild kit only had to replace the one valve
.
However, All of the belts were stretched and worn out. In-fact one of the cam shafts was a tooth off time and probabaly had been since factory assembly. Tough little engine to make it that far!
To me is seemed that LR has a big problem with wiring deteriorization. Most of everything electrical had most of the looming or wire-wrap crispified and flaking apart. So, I spent most of my time re-looming most of my engine compartment while the heads were off...
Two other notes about taking apart the KV6; there isn't any pre-cut gaskets available for the Cam shaft carrier bearing plate. Which means one must use grey RTV and very carefully cover all the ridges and not allow any to get into the valleys or plug the oil galleys! And we sawed in half, housing plate on the front to make re-assembly and future maintenance access easier. Because getting the cover reinstalled over the timing belt is almost impossible! (There is a seam between the top 5 mounting bolts and the lower 5 mounting bolts) saw across this making two halves.)
As for all of the fancy locking tools. As long as your engine is locked in the "safe" position with a bolt (the A/C ones work great!) and use a straight ruler and mark the teeth positions with paint, and some patience, you will win!
P.S. there is a Maintence CD available...
