No change, I pulled out the adapter cover and cigarette lighter and put the USB charger and my portable plug-in flashlight. I also put the G4 Expedition stickers on, but have to fix the one in the back (it's a bit too high).

Thanks!

Very nice - the Arabica looks great and is a great contrast. One question - does the flashlight draw power to charge when the motor is off? I worry about the drain on the battery, or maybe the draw is too small to matter.

Thanks! Yes, it's a great color scheme. The flashlight does not draw any power when the engine is shut off.

Installed the Front Skid Plate

I was going to wait until I returned from Boston to install the skid plate (from my previous LR4), but I had a little time this morning and decided to get it out of the way. Was very easy - took about 15 minutes.

I know some folks would prefer it powder-coated black (which I considered), but I actually like the silver on the skid plate - sort of goes with the silver lug nuts and wheel center black/silver Land Rover logo.

Here are a couple photos:

I noticed you got a shift stick instead of the rotating thing that pops up (like in the Evoque). Did you have to specify this?

The LR4 looks incredible!

Hey Alex,

The NA LR4 only comes in stick shift, there are no options for a pop up rotating knob like on the Evoque and 2013 RR.

That's the only way petrol engines are equipped with. No pop up anything in North America, even by request.

Great news! I had already seen a couple of 2013 Discovery 4s here in Panama and they both were fitted with rotating knobs, which I really don't like.

David,

Luckily for you the Boston heat wave is over by tomorrow - notice today's temp. reading. Have a good trip. By the way, nice to finally have next turn info in the TFT screen on the 2013.

I have a question for folks with a 2013 who had 2010-2012 LR4s... Is it me or is the top latch harder to close? Maybe I need to grease the hardware?

I already had the rear hatch open light on when I thought I had closed it, but chalked it up to being new. Not sure yet.
