We recently brought out 2016 LR4 to the dealership to replace the outlet fuel tank flange as recommended on the recent recall. Two weeks later the car wouldn’t start after filling it up. We had the car towed to our mechanic. The fuel pump was reading low pressure and the pump was actually dislodged and lying at the bottom of the tank. Our mechanic replaced the fuel pump and it works now. Has this happened to anyone else? Is the flange and the pump totally unrelated? How can the fuel pump become come loose? Our LR4 has 59800 miles.
Interesting on the dealer invoice it said fuel pump N/C leading us to believe they replaced the fuel pump Along with the flange and gaskets. But the dealer said this was just a part number.
thanks
