low coolant in 2015 LUX
I had the exact same issue as billj. It was a bad water pump last year, followed by intermittent top-ups throughout the year that prompted me to return to the dealer where the o-ring was replaced. I'm not sure if it was replaced initially along with the new water pump. -

Showoff Your LR4

Heated Windshields
Mine seem to come on automatically whenever there's a little snowflake logo in the dash near the ambient temperature. I believe that is below 40 degrees. Others may have a more precise answer. -

Should I go for a 2016 LR4 with NO heavy duty option?
We leased our 2010 then bought it in 2014 for $24,000. Apparently we paid too much on that lease. The buy price was so low (about $10,000 under KBB) that we really had no choice but to buy it. Otherwise we would have been throwing away that $10,000. -

Battery life on Discovery 4
Not that dealers know everything here but… I asked mine about "coding" after a battery swap. He stated that they do plug in and reset something but that it isn't really necessary and he has never heard of any issues if you skip it. -

Discovery 5 I love the boxy look of my LR4 but I think the Discovery Vision is a pretty great looking vehicle. It's still relatively boxy, they've just smoothed the edges a bit. When my wife and I were taking our firstborn home from the hospital this January, I pulled around to the front of the hospital, turned it off, ran inside, gathered the new baby, installed the car seat, and…..dead battery. We had to get a jump start from an old Dodge Ram. -
