2006 LR3 Dash Kit for Pioneer AV Receiver
Try this from the same dealer. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_25217_Connects2-CT23LR02A.html They list it as for the Discovery 3 (same as LR3) Fits perfectly. I used it for my pioneer head unit. -

After Market Radio
Just make sure that you have them leave the factory harness plugs intact. They can tuck them next to the AC duct. If you need to change the settings you can take off the surround trim and plug in the stock radio, make the changes and unplug it. You still can control the trip computer to reset... -

Hi Stan, I don't know the name of the paint but I'll try to find out. Any custom installer should be able to computer color match the trim. The color actually looks better than the pictures show. The flash of the camera shows the difference in texture but you can't see it normally. -

The Optima is only for the 2nd battery separated by the isolator( Surepower 1314). It runs the fridge and stereo amps only. The stock Land Rover Battery is still there. No problems so far. The dealer here in Scottsdale checked it out and found nothing that would cause problems. -

I should note that you should have them leave the factory radio harness intact. They can tuck it in front of the air cond vent. If you ever need to adjust your info menus you can just plug in the factory radio and be able to use your steering wheel controls. You can also install a steering... -

You will need to run new speaker wires to all of the speakers. I pulled the factory amp. That's where I mounted the XM Radio W/NAV Trafic from Pioneer. You will also want to run a new wire to the Sub as the factory wires are not very good. I mounted the amps and crossovers where the 3rd row... -

Actually that's only partially true. If you have an HSE W/NAV, don't do it. It is integrated into the Nav unit. If like mine you have an SE without NAV the only thing that is integrated is the control for the info/menu screen. I have put in the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 and bypassed the rest of the... -

Just got mine back today after the upgrade. The service manager told me that the final fix for the "****" will not be out for a few months. They have to get it cleared by the EPA as it could change the MPG estimates. He didn't say that it would, just that it could and they need to verify. Mine... -

I took my LR3 in for service last week and asked them again about this problem. To my suprise, they said that they had been performing a reset to the transmission to re-learn everything. They also take the car up to 60 mph and coast to 0 mph and repeat that 5 times. Sounds strange to me but... -

LR3 Speed Sensor wire
One more thing...Make sure you connect the power antenna wire from the head unit to the blue wire(power antenna) on the radio harness. You need this to power the window antenna.
