Just to be clear - I did nothing to get the 4G. I have not taken out the SIM card and it is the original card from the dealer.

The only thing I did was go to the connectivity page and switch the mobile data off and then back on.

My 2015 LR4 with in control says that with a sim card I can get 3G wifi hotspot. Any idea if that would be limited by the car, or could I bump that up to 4G with a new, updated 4G sim/data plan? This is just a little beyond my technical understanding, so appreciate any feed back.
Thanks...

Yes it is.

Went to Verizon to get a sim from them and since I use them for my phone. They use the new smaller Sims for most of their phones and didn't have one in stock. They tried to put the trucks IMEI number into their system but it would not take it. So, they are going to get back to me after they check with tech support to see if they can provide a comparable sim.

Also called ATT again and they blame LR for the 3g limitation. My experience so far is in control works pretty good but a little quirky. I find if I close the app and force a new update it works a little better.

My issue is I can add a sim to Verizon for 10 a month onto my data plan. Att wants 20 for unlimited data. But, if the data is 3g it's too slow to use anyway.

I'm gonna call LR today and see if what att says is true and that LR is blocking the 4g. Sounds odd if they advertise 4g sim register Globe but don't support it.

Sounds like you're having a bit of a tough time with the SIM and data issues! It’s frustrating when things don’t work as expected, especially when trying to get the right SIM for your truck. Hopefully, Verizon will sort it out after checking with tech support. It’s also strange that ATT is blaming LR for the 3G limitation—seems odd that they advertise 4G but don’t fully support it. Good idea to call LR and get to the bottom of it. Keep us posted on what they say! Hopefully, you’ll find a solution soon. Also, don’t forget to sim register Globe if you’re using their network, to avoid any issues with connectivity.
