i read somewhere that the oil leaks are part of the LRACS (land rover anti-corrosion system)
mine has the HD version oil leaks from one end all the way to the other
ALL LAND ROVER'S ..If it ain't a leakin' it must be dry.....But no seriously most leak oil from the Valve Cover Gaskets. I am on my first Disco (D1), I used to have a 1995 RRC it leaked from the gaskets, as did the 1988 RR SWB that I drove in high school. This has just been my experience though.
Not to spoil the fun, but neither of my Discovery's leaked any oil (but one was a 2000, and the other is a 2004). I never had a drop of oil leak in the last 2 years.
