whats this button?

Hey, i have just got a 98 disco and there is a button on the dash which i have no idea what it does. it looks to me like a bridge over a road but my son said it looks like a skate board, does anybody have a clue as i dont.

Yea man...that threw me as well. I thought it was the fog lights at first. I had to go to the owners manual. The downhil decent control got me as well as I first thought it was a manual button to level out the truck on uneven ground. In my defense I didn't have the manual for the first 3 days I owned the truck

Yep, it's the cruise control....FYI - believe it or not, the symbol is actually a bridge over two lanes of....any quesses? THE AUTOBAHN. The symbol for the cruise control is the highway sign for the autobahn.

Strange, that a British made vehicle has a button depicting a road that is located on the European mainland. Mind you, when I ordered my authentic replacement button, I'm pretty sure it said "Made in Germany" on the package.

Heck, with that mentality, why not just replace the snowflake on the A/C button with the Canadian flag emblem? (Good thing I'm Canadian and can make fun of myself, eh?)
