Update: They are also going to replace the airbag cover on the driver steering wheel for the curling issue. It was minor (Seattle, garaged), but had definitely started. They pushed back at first stating they couldn't find the problem, but after I told them exactly where to look they agreed.
Will be interesting to see if the new diff helps with the jerking issues during complete and rolling stops. That is what I had mentioned (for the fourth, fifth, sixth? time) that prompted them to check I guess. Annoying issue, but somewhat controllable.
