I recently bought a certified 06 LR3 that is still under the original warranty. It has a few issues that I was going to address with the dealer. After reading these threads I realize that there have been issues that the previous owner may or may not have addressed through recalls or warranty issues. For instance, I have noticed the airbag rolling on the steering wheel and wouldn't have thought twice about it if I had not read these threads. Here is my question: If you just purchased a 06 LR3 under warranty and could have multiple items checked and replaced under warranty what should would you make sure was completed in the past or before the warranty expires? Thanks- I will compare your list with the cars records!

In no particular order:

- Sunroof rail cracks
- Steering wheel falling apart
- Transmission reflash
- Bushings and lower control arms
- pay for new tires, battery and alignment
- sunroof drains
- gas tank recall
- fading plastic exterior

Good luck getting them to warranty your airbag cover. My dealer said LR won't cover any interior piece outside of 15,000 miles, however they did replace the steering wheel itself, go figure.

That's a pretty good list. I would add ball joints. LR came out with uprated ball joints in 2008, the original design wasn't up to spec. I'm having mine replaced under warranty. Also, if you have any play or clunk in the steering wheel it's probably the steering rack, LR also has a TSB about this.

That is odd I bought my LR3 with 30k on it and they replaced my airbag cover, and my ash tray, it broke and would not stay in, they took care of that as well as replaced my steering wheel.
