Can someone tell me what the vehicle height is when the suspension is lowered? With or without roof rails is fine.

Was just about to buy an '09 4Runner when I discovered the pathetic depreciation on the LR3s! I was amazed to find them generally cheaper than the 4Runner for comparable year model and mileage. So now it's LR3 vs 4Runner. My garage has only 74" clearance and if the LR doesn't fit, then I won't buy it.

All the spec sheets I can find list the LR3 height at 74.5", but is that max, min, or normal ride height...

Thanks!

Great, exactly what I wanted. Thank you.

So if I lower it, then drive into my garage and shut down, will it remain in the lowered position when I restart? Just want to make sure it doesn't raise up by itself before I leave the garage.

Yes, it will remain lowered. Just hold the switch down for two seconds before you drive in and it will "lock" it in access height. You can either raise it yourself when you get out of the garage, or it will raise automatically once you start driving over 30mph.

Be careful though... I don't think those dimensions include the "shark fin antenna", do they? That sticks up a couple of inches... 2" maybe?

I'll keep that in mind. In fact, I'll see if the dealer will let me do a 45 min test drive so I can drive it home.

You are gonna die the first time you forget. I thought I'd remember to lower it every time when I had my bike rack on the roof. I didn't...

That's a good point.... Now I'm wondering if I can train my wife to do this. I think I already know the answer.

There are a number of things that tell me this is not the right vehicle for me, but for some reason, I just can't stop wanting one!
