Agreed with the above.. Improved idle is where cleaning these usually shows the most gain.. When at idle, the gate is closed, letting in just a small amount of air for the idle fuel/air mixture to be right.. Small amounts of buildup around the edges of the gate can restrict air coming in, and cause idle issues..
