I have an 05 SE7 and had to replace 2 rear bulbs. I'm an hour away from the dealer and just replaced them myself. They are only a couple of bucks and they are easy to do it yourself. Not worth taking to dealer over. Any auto parts store carries the bulbs.

Loose Bulb

My right rear bulb was out, so I removed the light housing assembly...removed the bulb from the back of the plastic assembly...and low and behold the light started working. I then tested it a few times and re-installed the assembly. Seems the bulb or some connection was loose. I am sure it will come loose again, but at least I didn't have to spend any real time or money.

I have a 2005 LR3 and the tail lights are out. I appreciate the clue on how to replace but I am not sure where to get the bulbs. The LR dealer near me just went out of business and I do not want to drive 2 hours to get the rear bulbs. can I just go to an auto parts store?

Yes - it's a standard bulb - you can look it up in the manual at the auto parts store to get the right one.

I got mine from Pepboys - and had a choice of 'standard' and 'long life' options.
