I have to say, I am absolutely stunned at the prices for sliders on this rig. My FJ Cruiser's ARB sliders cost me half as much as anything I have seen for the LR3. Granted, each truck is in a different price bracket...still. Talk about highway robbery.

I know a fabricator that helped me develop this. I wonder what he could build for me on the truck.

lots of good info here guys . . . i was thinking front skid plate just cause my front underside plastic is gettint beat to heck!

are threr skid plates other then RASTA that can stay on during servicing?

Any idea what's up w/the SAFARI site?

BOAZ: "Sliders are still a more often used/needed item in my experience. The Mantec front plate came later for me. BTW, I happen to know that a CA based company is developing a front plate to compete with Mantec."

got some more info?

also . . . toyo open country AT or Pirelli scorpians for mostly on-road with desire to have some fun off???

I went with General AT2 (twice) and have been happy. I also have northeast winters to contend with, so your needs may very.

I have run Toyo Open Country A/Ts. Good tire, easy to balance. Good on road and
good for moderate offroading.

Don't forget High Country Sliders and skids. With their new factory in Tenn, their prices have dropped. I have used their sliders for two years now, and they paid for themselves many times over.

good question . . . I've been e-mailing RASTA (now only in Isreal) and the want $290 +shipping for thiers . . .
