I have one on my LR4 right now. I will take a picture and get it up on the site.

Rob

Did you go for a Thule ? Ive looked at a few, the type that swings around looks like a winner allowing to open the tail gate with bikes still attached?

I have to have one that carry the bike by the wheels and not the frame. My frame is carbon fiber.

We have the Thule Ridgeline...holds 4 bikes. My husband uses the bar adapter that creates a straight bar from the stem to seat post - he has a Santa Cruz with a slanted bar that doesn't fit well without the adapter.

Thule t2 best bike rack I have ever owned, by a large margin.....so fast to get a bike or bikes on and off...no sway, fits any frame, very stable....can have bikes in rack and open both rear doors with the tilt down feature.....one should never let a bike rack touch carbon frames....

I can't help but agree. I've owned the Thule for over three years of abuse and it's still in great shape. Bikes on and off is really quick which is nice when you're dead from a long ride and don't want to fool around.

Had a t2, not even in the same league in terms of ease of use or quality of workmanship. Check out the failures on mtbr. Granted you pay for it. But you're going off the beaten path with a lr4, why not be consistent with your rack.

Had a T2, which is not a bad rack, is not even in the same league in terms of ease of use or quality of workmanship than the 1up. Granted you pay for it. But you're going off the beaten path with a lr4, pun intended, why not be consistent with your rack. If you're doing serious offroading to the trail head, north shore rack may be a better choice.

Carbon is a lot more resilient than you give it credit for. If it wasn't, would have more and more mtn bike frames and components made from it.
