On my Acura the seat memory is tied to the remote so it auto adjusts the seats when I touch the outside door handle with keyless.

We have the seat memory on the Lux but we have to manually push the 1,2 or 3 button. Am I missing something to tie them together?

I don't think you are. Seems like it is the only way, granted I have not researched it.

My last vehicle (BMW) had it so that the key was tied to the vehicle settings and I absolutely hated it. Every time my better half would touch the door before I would it would confuse the car and change everything. Then if I locked the door with my key it would change my settings to hers.

I think while manually hitting a button is somewhat of an inconvenience in these times I prefer it.

The LR3 and 06-09 Sport had such a feature (it was strangely called "Lazy Entry"), but it was so buggy that I was happy to see the feature removed from the LR4. It's only one more button on the door to push, not that big of a deal in the grand scope of things, although I can see the convenience in a household with two different drivers regularly using the same vehicle (not my case, luckily the LR4 is all mine.)

We have this on our MDX and run into the same issue epiclr4 did. Sometimes I find myself yelling, "wait, wait" to my wife so I can open the car first. It is not an issue if she is entering on the passenger side. It has enough intelligence to know, sort of, where the key is. But there are times when it gets confused. I probably should just disable it if I can. I am the driver 95% of the time.

I'd love to see this feature. My 2007 GMC Sierra has this pairing feature. Every time I get in my wife's new MY14 LUX I have to hit "my" button #3. She's short and I have to wait for it to move. I'm not complaining though.. I have a big grin everytime I get in...

And a remote start would be cool, my GMC has that as well. Turns the Heater and Seat warmers on when its cold and turns the A/C on when its hot. I start the car while I'm brushing my teeth in the mornings. By the time I'm done, I get in... its toasty!!!!

Just the fact that you are hitting button #3 says it all! (Just kidding.)

As for remote start on my MDX it is handy at times. But the MDX sits in a garage so I can't leave it running unless I leave the garage door open - with outside temps well below freezing. I use it when I can and when I am close enough for it to work. I've often try to use it as we are leaving a restaurant or whatever but by the time I am close enough I am only 10 secs from being at the car.

I thought that I read that the LR4 has the ability to have the timed climate?

It allows you to set the system to cut on and warm/cool the truck to whatever temp you set at the time you want it to. So the example would be that if you leave your house every morning at 7:30 you can set it to cut on at 7:15 and it will get the temp set to what you want so you can get it and be comfy.
