As of now I haven't had the rear hitch tested to get a DOT class rating. What I have done is go four wheeling many times and used both front a rear receivers to mount a winch to. We have drug 18" diameter 40' tall trees through the snow to clear roads. We have pulled ourselves out of 18" of wet heavy heavy snow using the rear hitch. I have used the rear receiver as a lift point to lift the entire rear end off the ground. In doing all of these things the receivers show no sign of being stressed. I think the week point would be the actual bumper getting bowed out if I somehow got the LR3 super stuck. I have a 12000 pound winch and I don't think it's strong enough do that though.
I would be willing to build them for $250 each plus shipping, that would be without a DOT certification.
