Question Regarding Sump Guards

so . . . what winch option am I loosing?
Can one still use the Rasta "hidden winch? (is it worth it?)

what model is the OEM winch? Does the sump guard cover/use bolt points?

The internal or "hidden" winch can be used with the non-winch plate. I've seen that, and like it a lot. The OEM winch is mounted on a horrible looking exterior tray that sticks way out. It needs the two cut outs that are on the winch version of the underbody plate, to fit. That being said, you can install either underbody protection plate without a winch. I've seen both. You don't have to have the OEM winch to install the winch version of the plate. My favorite look is the internal winch with the non-winch plate.

David, I applaud your enthusiasm. I would suggest you save a lot of these questions until you get out on the trail with the club or other groups so you can start to see what you will actually need.

There are people in the club that have all this equipment you keep asking about and you can see it first hand.

You seem to be worrying about some stuff that you probably will never need until you start to get out there on the trails. Even then much of it will be what you really need verses what you would like to have.

The point is you don't really know yet what you may want or need yet.

sounds good . . . I just did't want to limit my options down the road by purchasing something that would not allow for later mods.
