It will come with 18" wheels and Goodyear Wrangler HP-AW tires. I would like more off-road tires. Any suggestions?

I always liked the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo. Great handling and quiet on and off road

How large can you go on 18" wheels without having to raise the vehicle? Will a 265/60 fit?

Hi,

There really shouldn't be an issue with running this size tire. It's only about 1/2 an inch taller than stock. Anything up to about 31" should be OK on stock suspension height unless you go crazy wide.

The real challange is to find wheels that will work on the LR4 in 18". I have only seen one posted here that will work. I have not seen the wheel in person, only seen it posted here on the forum that it will work.

I had 265\60-18 Yoko A\T-S's on my LR3. No fitment issues at all, even in access height.

Be careful of this size, however, as the load ratings tend to be <110; which, according to my dealer, is below the 110 minimum communicated by LRNA. This is the OE 18" size for the GX 460 and new Jeep GC.

Good news. Allthough this means a 265/65 R18 would be slightly over at 31.5"

What is causing the rub on the oversized tires? Is it the height or the width? I would not want to go over 265 width, so I'm avoiding the 285s out there

The vast majority of both LR3/4 or RRS running with 18 inch rims pick either the Nitto Terra Grappler or the Cooper Zeon LTZ both of which have been proven over the last 5 years as the tire of choice for A/T - very good offroad, and quiet on road.

The most popular size is 285/60/18. You'll find tons of people running this size with no issues on rubbing. If you are going to do some serious off roading, then consider getting a lift kit.

I'm on my 3rd set of Terra Grapplers, now with 120K on my RRS and they are simply a superb tire.

18"???

I am about to buy an LR4 to replace my lr3 HSE. I hated having the 19 tires as there was no good off road tire option. I have been told that there is no 18 tire for the lr4 due to the new brake size. Can you let me know what 18s you have found to fit?

thx!~
