@djkaosone you and I have the exact same rigs. I value your advice and appreciate where you're coming from with doing all the cooling stuff at the same time. After a year of ownership and putting on 15,000 miles (103,000 to 118,000) I haven't had any coolant related problems. Got to do it soon though. Just a matter of time. Thanks for the tip.

@Daveykid , thats good dealer service.
@djkaosone , too true.

Cheers!
My neighbor (and drinking buddy) is the regional director here in the midwest of all the JLR dealers. Service and Parts mgrs all report up to him. As such, you'd be surprised the level of service I get when he greases the skids for me. :)

I've installed the aluminum front crossover from Amazon on a 2014 Sport HSE, and has been working great for 7,000+ miles, I liked the idea of not having plastic in contact with the heating cycles of the engine block. The one issue I encountered was that the O-ring provided was too large and sheared when installing so replaced it with the correct size and it installed correctly and worked well. I also replaced plastic oil cooler inlet with an aluminum one. I would have also done the rear crossover, however wasn't available at the time of the repair and they are now available on Amazon. They also have a thermostat and aluminum housing available on Amazon, however thermostats go bad and you usually have to purchase the entire housing so may make sense to go with OEM or solid aftermarket like Motorad which is mfgd in Israel.

I also replaced my front crossover with a metal one -- I think I've posted about it elsewhere if anyone is interested in the brand. Has been about 18 months with no issues so far...

Why is the front crossover for the SCV6 not compatible with the V8? I would have expected it to be lower profile to accommodate the supercharger. I understand the rear crossover isn't because it has longer "legs" to extend to the shorter cylinder heads (on account of the 'blanked' cylinder in the block), but why the front?
