L A N D R O V E R - are there 2 diff color badges?

Are there 2 diff colors of the letters that say LAND ROVER on the hood of our LR3s here? My 2005 HSE's look sort of "darker" but I've noticed some are being sold as more "silvery".

Also are the LR2 hood badges the same? They seem to be cheaper on ebay but look exactly the same, diff part numbers.

There are more then 2, mine are greenish colored on my sand colored LR3.

where'd you get black badges?

from a dealer? if so, what were part #'s? Im having a hard time figuring out part #'s -- I'm hearing there are "bright silver", "brunel metallic" and "black" emblems but no one at dealer can quite figure out what's what

aha - I mean the ones that spell out the words, not the badges

Aha, now I see -- I was referring to the actual letters on the hood that spell out Land Rover, not those badges (but I agree, the black ones are very cool)

The black ovals denote a "Special Vehicle" and are only officially bestowed by Land Rover. My stormtrooper had them, from LRNA.

I think nwoods LR3 was set of a few "one offs" built by LR to test interest in different color/trim/spec levels.
