brand new AMK compressor stopped working, it is literally dead with less than 600 miles on it, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUKC ???????:mad::mad:

how does this even happen????!??!?!?!?!?? I'm taking it to the indy tomorrow morning but I want to have an idea of what it may be.

Yes the software was updated
Yes the new relay was fitted

EDIT: I now know compressor is alive because I removed the cover and while inspecting it (everything is connected) I heard the compressor beep like literally an electric beep, has it got a speaker? anyhow it then released some pressure and I have NO IDEA of what is going on,
EDIT 2: it just won't pump air anymore nonetheless it vents it apparently on a constant basis as I've been watching it and it's vented more than 4 times now

I wish I could help. Sounds like a $hitty situation. At least there should be a standard (one year) parts warranty on it.

yah, I bought it from the lucky8 ebay... I really hope that it is just a random error and the compressor is still good I mean what are the odds of it going bad in less than 1000 miles!!
lets see what the indy says

Not more replies because no one knows what to say. Though the AMKs have been altogether more reliable than the Hitachis, they've also not been in service as long and there are always one-off parts that are just bad.

I'd just get them to swap it...if the next one goes **** within 1000 miles then you know it's not the compressor.

Your thread title is not very informative. Heck, I clicked on it and I don't even have an LR3. I just wanted to know what the thread was about.

Sorry, I've got no help.

I'm sure you're frustrated, but this is one that nobody here will be able to diagnose from across the internet. Could be a loose wire, could be the thing was made on a Friday and someone forgot a part...
It might suck, but the good news is it's got to be covered.

I had a slow leak that burned up 2 compressors in two years. Slow sinking until I replaced the front valve block.

yah, I meant no replies probably mean that this is a rare case I suppose.
A brand new compressor cannot possibly burn for pumping a bit of air every now and then for less than a month can it? the hitachi went for far longer.
