HELLO TO ALL,

And thank you for allowing me to enter your world. I just purchased a 05 LR3 SE somehow I bought the vehicle off line out of state(which was by pic alone). This was prob my first mistake. Anyway, when I rec'd the truck, the keyless remotes did not work, after purchasing 4 new tires and 3 months later they are almost worn out (inside tread), (the air suspension appears to be working fine) and the radio has been playing tricks on me. First the volume went out - i thought it was the radio towers but somehow worked fine the very next day...then after a month or so volume went out again this time never to return. The LCD stayed on and eventually drained the battery. Reading thru your forum, its apparent that this vehicle has very high maintenance that is very costly. I am so disappointed someone please offer words of wisdom!!!

Welcome to the forum... I will copy this to the LR3 section so you may get more responses. Sounds like yours has been rode hard and put up wet.

The tires is an unfortunate loss. I learned this lesson once myself and now always get an alignment with new tires. Its generally accepted that the dealer is the best equiped to perform alignments because of the computer required to lock the air suspension in tight tolerance mode.

The Radio sounds like its shot. Do other sources work like CD, SAT, and AUX? Keep and eye on ebay, radios occasionally show up from people going aftermarket. Aftermarket upgrade is always an option for you too especially if you dont have the factory nav.

The dead battery may just be an old battery. The 05 LR3 are starting to commonly need battery replacement now (but there have also been a couple reports of faulty alternators). So try to sort out with some diagnosis.

Good luck. I promise its not all bad for the LR3s, but maybe you want to try to resell and spin again. Tough call.
