I've had my 2 discos for a while now, and am active in our local LR club and other 4x4clubs. Great to connect with the bigger family of LR fans. Maybe sombody can help with pointing me in the right direction with an erratic / problematic idle on both of my 1995 / 1996 3.9 V8i Discos. Everyone suggests change the air flow meter, but these are hellish expensive here in South Africa. Any other suggestions?

Welcome to the forum... erratic idle, I would start by cleaning the TPS and IAC. Clean the MAF with some MAF cleaner or contact cleaner. Also remove the intake hose after the MAF and clean the intake butterfly.
