I've had a message on the info center of my 06 LR3 V8 with 53k, that I have a loose or missing fuel cap. The cap is certainly not missing or loose. At one point it went away for a day or two, but it's been back now for a week and yesterday the check engine light came on as well. Called my friendly LR dealer in here in Jacksonville to make an appt. Already dreading what this may be--especially 3k out of warranty. They said it may be emissions but need to read the codes. Anyone ever experienced this or have idea what it may be??

Thanks!

I have same problem last year but no engines light.
Lr dealer replace vacuum sensor (or vacuum pump) in the gas tank.
My car was ready in 45 min. covered by warranty.
Good luck

Do you actually have a fault code, if so what is the 4 digit number?
