Front park sensors sometimes late/nonfunctional?

I like my gadgets and auto tech but for years I balked at relying on rear view cameras. I felt like using them would make me a sellout and would eventually blunt the backing skills I had worked years to hone.

Now, I feel blind backing up in a vehicle without this feature.

However I don't miss front sensors on my 2011. So far I have not bumped into a single parked stealth fighter!

Full disclosure: Been driving since mid-70's...
