I took my truck in this morning to Bluff City Land Rover. The codes they were given were different from mine. I had gotten P-0159(defective oxygen sensor) pertaining to Bank 2 Sensor 2. The codes they got said I had more than one o2 sensor that was bad so they replaced both rear sensors. This was all done at $318.29
Now for the part I was sort of skeptical on. The tech said he was given a second code on a bad thermostat. Funny, I had them replace the t-stat AND housing on November 3rd. He claims the seal was leaking, but I had never gotten any indication of this so I demanded to come in the shop to see for myself. I ordered the t-stat from British Pacific online for $40 and brought it into the dealer for the fix. Needless to say, this cost me another $379.13. I had a grand total of around $720. Let's hope I don't get another CEL within the next few months.
When the coolant was put back into the truck, they added over the "fill cold" line. Is this because the coolant hasn't gone through the whole system yet, or should I be worried? I drove it home about 8 miles.
