I’m guessing I know the answer already but as I was playing around with the IID tool looking at various data points in my LR4 (not changing things, just observing) I started thinking about the seat position sensor and wondered if there is some way to adjust the stopping point of the seat rails?

I could really benefit from even an extra inch of legroom if that’s at all possible to configure.

What have my fellow tall drivers done?

Average male height pleb here, but I didn't even know that was an option in the CCF. I would imagine its for other seats on the other platforms but I would imagine it's hardware limited, not software. I've changed a few things on my LR4 and had nothing happen before, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't do anything.

I'm 6'2" with a 36" inseam, and feel like I have enough legroom. You must be a long drink of water!

I'm not aware of any software setting that might adjust this. I am guessing that there is a switch that senses when it is "all the way back." If that switch has been bumped, bent, relocated, or somehow pushed forward, it might be coming up short of giving you the full legroom? And I suppose it is possible that there is more adjustment available by pushing that switch back a bit, but you'd have to be really careful to not push it so far it damages the track, worm gears, etc.

I’m not obscenely tall, same as you at 6’2” but about 33” inseam and I think in combination with the high pedal placement (and my sz 13 shoes) it’s JUST tight enough to make me want a little more.

But to be fair very few vehicles have fit me perfectly in my ownership history. I just can’t quite get to what I would consider my “ideal” driving position but it’s certainly not the worst

And I'm surprised that there are those smaller than me... the seat goes too far forward, the steering wheel too low.
I adjust my seat so that my eyes are inline with slightly above the centre of the windshield, and sit upright... and then I see those who drive lying down. Go figure.

Yeah everyone has their different seating preferences to be sure. In my case I have primarily driven low, sporty hatchbacks and wagons, but in the last few years I spent with my Rivian I acclimated to having a higher vantage point. However, though the vehicle type has changed, what hasn't is my preference for sitting almost completely upright, with just the right bend in my elbows for the appropriate steering wheel angle / distance and ideally enough room under the steering wheel for my legs to shift comfortably. I also like to have my my leg / ankle / foot angle to be somewhat relaxed and not crunched at a very acute angle.

The LR4 is very close to being "fine" for my preferred position, I have it as "good enough" for now, but I've yet to take it on a long road trip so I do wonder how it will fare in those situations. What I do appreciate though is that there is loads of space behind the pedals so I can at least very comfortably stretch out my left leg while driving. When I side by side drive it against my dad's L322, I can get more leg room in the L322 but the steering wheel does not come out far enough to match the increased leg room, there is more room under the steering column which is a plus, but less room around the pedals so I can't stretch my leg out as comfortably.

Everything is give and take.

Anyways, I'll do some investigation as to if it appears any modification can be done (SAFELY) to adjust the track stopping point. If I find anything out I will surely share it with the community!

On long trips I've had a sore azz after a couple hours. To fix that I tilted the seat bottom up so that the seat supported my legs more. Doing that took weight off my azz and distributed it more evenly across my legs and azz, much like a proper task chair. It also lifted my feet further away from the pedals. I'm 6' 3", you might try that but I'm pretty sure the seat track stop is mechanical.

I have tried lifting the seat bottom somewhat, but I probably just need to experiment more. Good insight though fellow tall guy!

Yeah, there are a lot of adjustments to the seats. I've never had a quality seat like these in any vehicle, they are pretty good. They are more like captains chairs. I have my seat bottom titled up on the front near my knees all the way.
