Have ran the jeeps in Colorado before, but the older we got the more I went by myself....Nobody else liked getting dirty anymore. I hope this inspires a renewed spirit of adventure! No confirmation, just guess of June or July. 5 Grandkids from 4 years to 10. Easy way to entertain them should they get restless, and all the other electronic devices batteries are dead! Best way to get them away from all that is backcountry camping!

Ouray is one of my intended destinations as well.
I understand the fly fishing in the area can be very good.
And I'd be happy camping out each day, if it was next to one of the streams.
Counting on the LR4 to get me there !

OK. I think epiclr4 had intended this to be "his" build thread but it has clearly become a place for a lot of us to post our builds. I finally have mine. Yeah! So here we go:

MY14 HSE LUX
Corris Grey with Arabica
Heavy Duty
Vision Assist
Sat/HD Radio

Last Date to Change Order: March 18
Planned Build Date: April 9-15
Planned Delivery Date: June 3

As for the long lead times I spoke to a dealer today who had just ordered a full size 2014 RR for a customer. 10 months! I guess they have been behind ever sense the new body came out for those. So I guess 4 months isn't that bad.

Anyway, I was pleased to see the data sheet on my order.

I placed my order today!!!!

Spoke with the general manager of the dealership and he had one allocation remaining. He did say MY14 will be a short year and there are not many allocations per dealer. Order is placed and set for delivery May 11th!!! This is what I'm getting ...

LR4 Base
Fuji White w/ Ebony Leather
Grand Black Lacquer Trim
Black Pack
HD Pack
3rd row
Cold Climate

I have until March 11th to make changes, considering changing the trim color. Will post a separate thread to see if anyone out there has pics of Grand Ivory Lacquer.

Yes, the ivory is new. (The make a big deal on one of their marketing pages about their new color schemes - based on black/white.) Color preferences are so very personal. Black and white look very classy. For our truck we went practical. Arabica seats. The color nearly matches our chocolate lab grand dog and won't show dirt as quickly as the lighter colors. Black gets hot here in CO and shows dust a bit more. So the Arabica interior was an acceptable compromise.

Thanks Dubroz. I was curious (jealous) about you being able to get your vehicle in May. Mine is schedule for a month later in part because it needs to come through the Panama Canal!

Dubroz; did the General Manager say why he thought it would be a short model year?
