ECM Warning Light

Evening Peeps, MY FL has just started displaying the ECM warning light with a total lack of power, this seems only to be when the engine is cold, could this be an EGR issue or worse, many thnx

Well, I managed to run out of fuel on the way into work this morning and now the ECM light won't go out.
Any ideas anyone?
