Anyone have experience repairing/splicing the most fiber connection? Center dash screen stuck on LR logo, no controls of audio/nav or backup camera.
Thinking of using the brass splices you can buy online. Here is the terrible pic of the wire. Can see red light when truck wakes up. So that can't be good. Pulled a fiber loop from an LR 4 so I have a long jumper if I can just do that. But that entails pulling most of the interior out.

@MellonRover I'm in the process of chasing down a similar problem. Misery loves company! :D I've been getting an intermittent camera fault that brings down my cameras, but also causes my audio to drop out on a 3 second cycle (plays/cuts out/plays) that continues to cycle as long as the cameras are down.

I was going to tear the dash apart and inspect the physical fiber optic to see if there was anything obvious, like your pic. Before I got that deep into it, I decided to run a diagnostic with a cheap reader I got online. Cleared all the faults this morning and nothing has come back, so far. It has been malfunctioning pretty regularly lately so I expect to read a fault soon. Seemed like it made sense to get a diagnosis of the problem in the event it's something else. For instance, it wouldn't make sense to tear the dash apart if it turns out to be a failing rear camera.

I was considering getting a fiber optic loop online that is used to bridge and bypass components in the stereo system and help isolate the failing component(s). They are cheap (under $20). I wonder if you could find a working fiber optic harness online from a wrecker or used parts place rather than trying to repair the one you've got? I might be looking for one soon myself if that turns out to be the problem.

Good luck and keep me posted on how that works out. I'll do the same.

Already on it Went to u pull yesterday and got the harness from radio to rear window area from an lr4 ( tore that thing apart, and dread having to do that on mine) made long jumper and short test lead. I get light after the chew spot, and the loop did nothing. So either something downstream of amp, or there's untenable loss from the chew. That's one thing I don't know. If I see light after the damaged area, does that mean I'm good to go? Or is enough light lost that the signal is rejected?Dunno.

Welp....359 degrees later, I'm just about where I thought I'd have the problem. Prior to dealing with fiber optic " Christmas lights type" one unit fails the others fail too.
Yep, all rear modules checked, bypass the under seat amp ( what I initially thought) and blinking whet to solid red. Dash screens back, just no audio. So nav and backup camera work.
I'm going to say it's the amp....anyone disagree?
The chewed up wire....just noise.... unrelated it seems

Time consuming, but very easy to get to the rear modules. Replacement amp is on its way as we speak. At least I can vacuum all the crap under the front seat real good!

Okay, this is weird, finally was able to get a camera fault on my dash and I didn't clear it. Turned off the vehicle and plugged in my scan tool and it showed a rain sensor fault, but nothing else. I had previously cleared all the old faults. I ran it again and same thing. I wonder if a janky rain sensor could mess up the cameras?

Land Rover dealerships have a repair kit for the fiber optic cables. Basically inserting a male and female connector where the break is.
