Hi,

I am a newbie to the LR3, having just bought a 2008 S model five months ago. Since then I have replaced two left side rear brake light bulbs and now I have to change the right side one. What is going on? Anyone had a similar experience with frequent tail light bulb failures?

Having read some 4 plus years of Disco3UK fault threads WRT rear light failures
causing CANBus glitches on preMY07 models with 3 module computers , it would
appear that LR bulbs have " more supported filaments" on the bulb construction.
Now having said that ( and realising that you don't have CANBus faults ), I would
suggest that a more robust bulb would be more appropriate ............
You can only but try . I hope that a Dealer doesn't supply you with a generic
part , as Kubota do with fluids , over here . Check the packaging !

2008 HSE, had it only 4 months and the two left/rear bulbs were out (a Prius driver let me know while driving 65 mph on the highway that they were out. He then proceeded to flip me the bird and say "I deserved it for using so much gas". Ok, JK on the last part...he was actually very courteous. its just funnier my way).

I was going to give LED's a try but im nervous about how persnickety the electrical systems are in these things.
