I checked the occillating dampers, mine are not rubber, but definitelly a metal composite of some sort, seam they would be heavy as hell. They do sway front to back an inch or so. Are yours rubber nwoods?

Oh yeah, with the exepdition rack installed now. I will start taking bets on how long before me, or the wife, go into the garage without lowering the car.... Over/Under is 5 days ! (keep us in yor prayers, it is the last thing we need !!! :) )

Hang a tennis ball from the roof eave OUTSIDE of your garage door. tennis ball whacks your window, hit the brakes!

I can't recall if mine are rubber or metal, or rubberized lead.

Like when the front torsion bars snapped on my 95 explorer with a full load of kids. Wow that won't be soon forgotten.
