Me too . . . I liked the seperation between the center and the ends . . . don't see a reason for slots all the way to the end . . .

What about the following ideas you had?

Bringing the sump guard further back to cover the transmission plate (about 30mm past where the normal sump guard goes)
Loosing the paddles either side of the intercooler ala Rasta.
Reducing the paddle height.
Loosing the 90 angles for the flat part of the underside (these do keep crap trapped around the plate).

I agree, I like the slots on the original better. I dont mind losing the paddles. The rest of the update looks good. Keep the original slots, and run with the rest.

Ok,

Your views please.....

Couple of idea’s after a few sketches:-

Bringing the sump guard further back to cover the transmission plate (about 30mm past where the normal sump guard goes) Not sure why, you have the under engine plate just further back of the sump guard. Is that what you are talking about?

Loosing the paddles either side of the intercooler ala Rasta. No, I like the paddles, they have protected my bumper.

Reducing the paddle height. I think they are fine.

Loosing the 90 angles for the flat part of the underside (these do keep crap trapped around the plate). I like the protection for the frame.

I gotta think TRYNIAN has some experience . . . I think the original concept was great . . . NEIL, why change it?

Or this?, We're going to weld up the paddles to offer more protection from them bending and make the holes different for the Intercooler.
