This last week hunting my Air Suspension failed and I got the amber warning... as off today the LR3 is completely slammed and going to my INDY tomorrow. Just curious what you guys recommend to do with the suspension?

Leave it stock?
Johnson Rods?

I have no idea what happened to it but my suspicion is the compressor... as both the front and the rear are now not going up. :stupid:

I just replaced some bushing on the front end and she drives fabulous so im trying to figure out what to do with her.

There is a way to directly activate the suspension compressor by removing one of the relays and jumping the connection. It's a good way to test if the problem is the compressor or something else triggering a fault. I'm on my iPod right now; I'll search for the link tomorrow from my desktop.

Be great if you can find that trick... I dropped it off at the INDYs tonight.

Brand new battery 2 weeks ago so I doubt that is the issue.

It's absolutely irresponsible that the J-rod dude has lead people to believe that installing his product is a "possible" solution to suspension faults. It has nothing to do with it. There was one occasion where a complete Noob lucked out by throwing them on. Now, being the marketing ***** that he is, jrod plastered his friggin' website, blog, tweet, facebook, ebay, forums, you name it, with this inaccurate and misleading information. The product is what it is - a version of a lift kit. Not a panacea for faults.

I wasn't suggesting the rods would take care of the issue. I was rather asking if I should mod the suspension while I am working on it anyway.

@churious: adding the modified rods is hardly a "mod" to the suspension worthy of such consideration. It is a 20 minute add-on of a $150 part that you could make yourself in your kitchen.

That may be part of the reason for this breakdown in communication.

Yeah... are there people converting air suspension to coilovers on LR3s?
