The OEM "Black pack" trim is totally glossy so yeah, the satin black Comps won't be an exact match for the rest of the trim. Close enough though, plus I figured the stock wheels realistically only look glossy for 5 minutes after a car wash, as soon as you touch the brakes 3 times they turn, uh, matte, lol. Thanks for the heads up on the black hubcaps, I didn't think of checking eBay in the UK.

Umberto,

You are right... the brake dust does make them a bit more matte. ;-) Even with slightly different blacks, the truck still looks awesome! I can't wait to see your new wheels.

Here is a link on eBay where you can get the black center caps:

I hope that helps!

Anyone know how long the boat ride takes? Wish it had a fedex/ups style tracking number... ha

Mine sailed for 4 weeks (arrived in California, though. East Coast ports should be 7-10 days faster.)

It's at the dealership!. They offered to drive it to my place for free (~200 miles), but Im going to go get it instead. Its worth a cheap rental to pick it up and get the walkthrough on it.

Should be home tonight. (I'll be sure to post pictures soon)

There's nothing quite like picking up a new car, we all turn into children again. Enjoy it and we look forward to a full pictorial.

Well that was interesting. Big ass snow storm hit Iowa today. I drove a few hundred miles in a fairly bad snow storm to get her home.

Sleet, snow, wind, and inch thick ice, also unplowed roads covered in snow... grass gravel snow and she did just fine.

Car is pretty dirty now... perfect way to break in a land rover. The little nissan versa rental I had to get there got stuck twice on the way and barely made it, and that was before the storm really started.

Go Beyond!! (pics to follow)

Hey mbw,

Wow - sounds like you really put the LR4 through the test during her first few hundred miles.

I am so excited for you (and envious as I want to drive in snow!!!!)....

Can't wait to see photos!
