Haven’t checked all injector and coil connectors but seems a few have a bit of wire exposed near the connectors- will this cause issues down the road? Was thinking just some liquid electrical tape as seems suitable for automotive.
Plugs done recently (<20k mi), but will check coil before diving into the injectors replacement. Appreciate response! Seems manageable (famous last words).
Hi folks,
I did see the other thread with same title, but no recent work done that would have delivered same solution.
Overview: driving 30mph, after depressing accelerator engine shuddered. Flashing CEL, Restricted Performance warning. While driving flashing CEL persists, when come to a...
If anyone has inherited an OEM brush guard with missing top brackets on their LR4 then here’s some info. Driving around at high speed with it flopping around finally got to me.
I had a hard time finding the brackets, or replacements. I’m not in the market for a new bumper and didn’t want 4...
At cold start water leaking, small but noticeable. Any cause for concern? Clamp looks original and don’t want to f with it if seems to be the norm. Just noticed the other day, can’t say if it’s been like that since I’ve had it or new. I think I would’ve noticed… But can’t say for sure.

Good to know, it takes about that 7secs long if I go from Access->Normal or Normal->Off-Road (independently of each other, with a full tank). Might be time.
Hi All,
Newer owner of 2011 LR4 HSE v8. Now 113k mikes.
Question on everyone’s compressor, how long does it take to go from Access to Off-Road?
Just recently rebuilt the original Hitachi Compressor and refreshed the valve blocks.
Everything seems to be in order, but going from access to...
Yes, pretty easy for sure. Removed all intake tubing, top half of fan shroud, removed one bolt on the thermostat and gave me enough room to access the bolts for removal with tight reach.
Lastly, the updated solenoid required a new electrical connection to be installed as well.
Update: so the original code hasn’t returned after a few days. I uncovered a damaged coolant hose into the throttle body that I replaced a couple days ago.
And now receiving the below consistently at start up after clear the code.
P0023-13 (AE) Exhaust (B) camshaft position actuator - circuit...
That’s what my prelim research was turning up, so think you’re right. I’ll give it the weekend and see if returns and go from there . Appreciate the responses so far!
Has anyone had any luck troubleshooting:
PCM-Engine Petrol
P0029-72 (AF) Exhaust valve control solenoid - circuit range/performance (bank 2) - Mechanical failure - actuator is stuck open
